Tram Accident Causes Drama at Missouri Theater
Q: Can I sue for injuries in a tram accident?
As anyone who’s ever been to a theme park can attest, the biggest problem you might expect when boarding the tram for a ride from the parking lot to the park is remembering which section you parked in– so you can find your car at the end of the day.
But a handful of tourists from Kansas and Oklahoma who were visiting the Shepherd of the Hills outdoor theater got a little more drama than they likely expected in a Missouri automobile accident involving the passenger tram and the vehicle pulling it.
Reportedly, four women were traveling downhill on a 24-passenger tram, being pulled buy a jeep, when it “started skidding and ran off the roadway before striking a wooden fence and a tree.” According to authorities, “the brakes locked up”. After the accident, up to four women with minor to moderate personal injuries were reportedly transported to the hospital.
When someone is injured as the result of the negligent, reckless, or intentional actions or inactions of some other person or entity, the victim may be entitled to compensatory damages in a personal injury lawsuit. Damages for physical and psychological pain and financial losses differ on a case-by-case basis but may include such items as current and future medical bills, current and future lost income or diminished earning capacity, and more.
